The 1994 MRL season is defined by many to be one of the best seasons in MRL history. And it's hard to dissagree. Not only did we see incredbile karts, like the GS-450 and S12 Turbo duke it out to their full potential, but the biggest battle was between two iconic race karts from two iconic Italian manufacturers. On one side you had the Vinardi Salvatore and on the other side you have the Masivelta Aurora. The Aurora was had the same impressive looks as the Salvatore, but on the performance side, it's a total different story. The Aurora was a quick machine that could jump off the line almost at an instant. The Aurora was able to enter and exit a sharp corner much faster than the Salvatore. The body of the Aurora was built for speed and aero, but it was also built to handle punishment better than the Salvatore. But in the 1994 season the karts, strengths were outweighed by it's flaws, thus Masivelta couldn't beat Vinardi in both seasons. The Aurora would continue on to race until the 1998 season, sementing itself as a race kart that people will always remember.
